A Home Information Pack is a legal document and were first introduced on 1 August 2007. As from 14 December 2007 it is now compulsory for all properties being sold in England and Wales to supply a Home Information Pack. There are many Home Information Pack provides offering low rates for the production of this pack, however, as this is a legal document it is important to ensure the provider is property insured and competent enough to provide a full pack. We would therefore suggest the instruction of a legal firm to prepare this pack on your behalf to ensure it meets the necessary requirements and to save you any unnecessary expenditure later in your transaction.

A Home Information Pack contains documents which will provide the purchaser of your property with additional information. It is your duty as the seller of the property to provide the home Information pack and you will not be able to market your property without it. As soon as the Home Information Pack has been prepared you are then in a position to place your property on the market. It is up to the seller to bear the cost of this pack.
